In the City's Public Works Department, the Division of Streets is responsible for maintaining and cleaning the City's streets and alleys, repairing potholes, removal of snow during the winter and removal of leaves during the fall.
DUMPING IS ILLEGAL and should be reported as quickly as possible. Call 609-989-DUMP (3867), or use the City's online process.
GRAFFITI - The City has a Graffiti Blaster's Program which is specifically to remove graffiti from buildings. If there are buildings where the graffiti should be removed, please call the Division of Solid Waste Management at 609-989-3175, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or use the City's online process.
The Graffiti Blaster program will then work with the owner of the building to get signed permission that gives the City of Trenton authorization to remove graffiti from the property.
SPECIAL PICKUP - If there are trash items that are beyond the normal trash collection (see Trash Collection details...), call the Division of Solid Waste Management at 609-989-3175, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. to schedule a special pickup.
MATTRESSES - All Mattresses must be placed in a mattress bag, otherwise they will not be picked up. Up to two mattress bags per year can be picked up at the Division of Solid Waste at 707 Calhoun Street between 8am and 3pm.
RECYCLING - All questions regarding recycling must be addressed to Mercer County Improvement Authority (609-278-8086)
